Office of the Registrar

Important Reminders 

  • CAPS is open and still delivering services
  • Registered students can be anywhere in the state of California
  • All services will be provided over Zoom or the phone
  • The front desk will still answer phones and sessions will still occur
  • Crisis sessions are still available
  • This will occur until April 1, 2020; re-evaluation will be on-going
  • Lunch takes place from 12 - 1 pm
  • When calling say: I would like to make a same-day appointment

The Office of the Registrar has updated its forms and added submission instructions on our forms page and next to each application form. Students will be able to download the form, fill it out and email out for approval to instructors, advisors, and Deans/designee via their UC Merced email.
Effective immediately – no wet signatures are required. The Office of the Registrar will be accepting email approvals from both students and faculty via their UC Merced email address.

  • Update contact information, including current address, via MyUCMerced portal to ensure receipt of timely updates from financial aid and other campus offices
  • Complete any outstanding Financial Aid items for 2020-21 on your checklist before June 1st
  • Course registration begins April 6-April 10, 2020 for Fall 2020
  • Reach out to advisors before registration time if there are questions!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) 

Will the TRV Office remain open during this time period?

As of March 17, 2020, the physical TRV Office will be closed on campus and all services and resources will be provided online.

Can I still schedule a meeting with a Student Coordinator?

Yes! All meetings will now be held via Zoom. Schedule a meeting like you would normally do. Once the Student Coordinator of your choice receives your request, he or she will reach out to you with more details.

Will the TRV Program continue to have events (e.g. study sessions, webinars, workshops)?

Yes! All events will be offered online via Zoom. All upcoming events will be shared on CatCourses and the here on the TRV Website.

When and where do I return my books borrowed from the Lending Library?

If you are NOT GRADUATING this spring or summer, please hold onto your books and return them in the fall (August 2020). If you ARE GRADUATING, please wait for an email with further instructions.

Will the TRV Program be operating during Summer Session?

Although our physical office will remain closed due to COVID-19, we will still be available and ready to support our TRV Scholars online.
