Scholarship Opportunities

The scholarships listed below are offered by various donors, schools, departments, and offices throughout the University. Start by visiting the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Click on the scholarship name to learn more about that particular opportunity. Scholarships are awarded based on available funding.

Scholarships for Reentry Students (Educational Gap)

The Osher Foundation has approved a proposal for Reentry Students Scholarships. We will be awarding $5,000 to 10 students to help pay for tuition and fees for worthy non-traditional students.   

To qualify, a student must: 

  • Have experienced a cumulative gap in their education of five or more years
  • Be enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student pursuing their first baccalaureate degree
  • Demonstrate financial need and academic potential (as determined by the UC Merced Financial Aid and Scholarships Department)
  • Ideally be between the ages of 25-50
